Hide and seek, a child’s game, leaves you to wait and watch. But “it” must find you; there’s nothing else. You breathe shallowly, clamping hand over mouth to suppress a giggle, to hold back the surge of kinesthesis that issues forth from your middle. You find you can resist no more. You reveal and run looking toward nothing but “base”. “It” takes chase and chance to be one of the hidden in the next iteration; you turn at last, your undoing surely, for your eyes no longer lead your feet to “base” but to base degree sprawled on the floor, heaving with laughter and knowing you are “it” at last.
