The Life of a Crier

When reading through my many 6s creations, I found that some of them feel more lyrical, like the shadow of a poem. This is one.

The Life of a Crier

The whippoorwill sends a plaintive cry into the sea of night. For whom does he cry, you ask, but you don’t truly wish to know. For the saint or the sinner, the lover or the cheater, the predator or the prey; he mourns them each in turn. Then, lighting on the verge of protection, brown markings blending with stippled bark, the bird finds no justice in the happenings of a moonless, hopeless world. The craven constellation of worldly existence is beneath him, as the peaceful planetary momentum remains above and out of reach. He controls neither but plays his role with undeniable fortitude, and such is the life of a crier.
