Street Team Needed!!
When Moon Mail and Star Kisses is published on April 28th, I want to give it a big push into the universe. And I’d love to have your help.
Of course, you can purchase the book, but that’s only one of many ways to help, if you are of a mind to.
Here’s what I need:
- Reviews. There’s a sort of social legitimacy that translates from reviews, even bad ones. People like to choose a book that others have read. I’d love a positive review, but any review is better than no review. This does not feed my ego, because I won’t read the reviews, for purposes of maintaining my sanity. Reviews can be left at most online retail sites and on Goodreads.

Library Purchases. The book will be available to libraries through the Ingram’s catalog that is widely used. Please jot down the title, author, and ISBN (below) and ask your local library to stock the book. The more people who ask for it, the more likely it is that the library will be convinced to stock the book.

School Purchases. The book will also be available to schools through the Ingram’s catalog. Please encourage your local or neighborhood schools to stock the book.

School Visits. I would be thrilled to visit your child’s school [or schooling coop] to talk about writing and related topics. Though this school year is drawing to a close, I will make every effort to visit as many schools as I’m able this spring. And I plan to engage with schools next fall.

Wholesale Purchasers. It’s great to buy books online and it will be awesome for me to sell directly to you, but I’ve waited a long time to find my book on a shelf in a store. That still may not happen for me, but EEP! How exciting if it does! Shelf space is not just to give me a thrill, either. Families cruise book store shelves looking for that just right book experience. So ask folks – from your local, independent booksellers to your big-box chains – to stock Moon Mail.

Share. Share the book news with someone. And then, when you have the book, share it with someone too. Share your stories of how Moon Mail helps your loved ones feel closer even when you are apart. Share, share, share!

Pictures. If you or someone you love reads Moon Mail, take a picture and share it with me and others. Or, if you see Moon Mail in the wild, snap a picture and send it my way. You will absolutely make my day! [P.S. When snapping shots of readers and their reading materials in the wild, be courteous and try to eliminate sharing pictures of random people who may not want their pictures floating about. Just seeing the book out in the open is more than enough.]
